Lost Weekend

Join Us for Lost Weekend

Girls on the Run Shenandoah Valley is excited to be a part of Lost Weekend to help raise awareness of our program as well as raise funds for our scholarship fund and program expansion in the Shenandoah Valley.

We hope to see you at the Alamo starting on September 29 to enjoy the exciting lineup of amazing films and bid on some of the great silent auction items. You do not need to attend the film festival to participate in the Silent auction.

FOUR DAYS OF INDEPENDENT FILMS, INTERNATIONAL AWARD WINNERS, AND DOCUMENTARIES
Film Club’s 15th LOST WEEKEND FILM FESTIVAL will be an exploration of film at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema from Thursday, September 29th through Saturday, October 8th . FORTY-NINE films from around the world will be featured, including TWENTY-THREE advance screening, TWENTY-FIVE films directed by women (51%), FOUR short films, ONE US PREMIERE, and NINE guests that will be joining us. Other weekend highlights will be special beers by Founders Brewing Company, a pop-up shop by Blue Plate Books + Four Color Fantasies, Photo & Autograph Events with our special guests, special limited edition festival merchandise, photobooth by Summit Events Co., a special menu, and a silent auction to benefit a local non-profit!

Weekend passes are available. Passes guarantee you a seat to twenty-six screenings for only $45.

During Lost Weekend XV, Film Club will host a silent auction whose proceeds will benefit the Girls On The Run Shenandoah Valley. Please help Film Club and the Alamo make independent cinema more available to the public than ever before.

Winchester Film Club is a community of film fans that meets as often as every week at the Alamo Drafthouse to screen independent, foreign, documentary and classic films. Founded and led by Andy Gyurisin, the group has grown to over 4,000 members in nine years of screenings at the Alamo and has helped to demonstrate that independent films are in demand in the Shenandoah Valley. We are also. the framework for over 10 other Film Clubs within the Alamo Drafthouse around the United States.

Big Thank You to Andy Kulp, our artist this year who designed our Lost Weekend logo.

Make your film festival experience even easier with a group rate at the Country Inn and Suites which is located next to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Call 540-869-7657 for rates and availability.
